DELTA BLOC® is a modern and advanced system of concrete barriers, designed to ensure maximum safety on roads and highways. This system combines a robust construction, effective deformation properties and simple assembly, which makes it an ideal solution for various traffic situations. Thanks to unique technological innovations, DELTA BLOC® offers reliable protection and a significant increase in safety.

Materials and construction:

  • Concrete barriers: Parts of the NEW JERSEY profile, designed for impact resistance. Thanks to the continuous drawbar, it is secured, that it will not break even with a strong impact. The special design reduces the kinetic energy during a collision by creating an additional deformation zone.

  • Fasteners: Push-in couplings and mounting holes ensure a solid connection of the parts, thereby contributing to the stability and efficiency of the system. The individual elements are designed so, to be easily assembled and disassembled.

Implementation and assembly:

When installing DELTA BLOC® concrete barriers, care must be taken to properly comply with all building regulations. Individual parts are usually installed directly from the truck using a crane arm. After placement, they are connected using special galvanized connectors, which form a continuous link – the heart of the entire system. This process guarantees quick assembly with minimal disruption to operations.

For the maximum effectiveness of the retaining wall, it is necessary to install the parts in a minimum length 32 meters including the outer parts. It is recommended to place the pieces like this, so that the locks are in a tensioned state, which prevents horizontal displacements and increases the effectiveness of barriers.

Using the Delta Bloc® system:

  • Motorways and expressways: Effective separation of traffic lanes and protection against vehicles leaving the road.

  • Communication with high traffic density: Ideal for places with a high frequency of vehicles and an increased risk of accidents.

  • Dangerous places: Use in bridge piers, protective zones of water sources and areas threatened by landslides or falling rocks.

  • Construction zones: Temporary protection of workers and traffic management during construction works.

  • Flood protection: Protection of areas prone to flooding.

Certification and quality:

DELTA BLOC® meets the highest safety standards according to the European EN standard 1317 and is approved by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic for use on all types of roads. The products are certified according to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009 a ČSN AND ISO 14001:2005, which guarantees their high quality and reliability.

CITY BLOC II. and III. generation are modular systems designed to ensure safety in urban traffic. Compared to the first generation, these systems are improved by a continuous tie rod with a patented connection system, resulting in higher retention efficiency. In addition, the built-in rubber bearings guarantee better stability of each element and the entire system.

Materials and construction:

  • Concrete parts: Parts with an inverted Y profile. Longitudinal and transverse channels on the underside are used for drainage and possible routing of cables. The transverse channel can also be used for the installation of a barrier using a forklift.

  • Fasteners: Fastening elements made of galvanized sheet are used to connect individual parts.

  • Steel railing: Galvanized steel railing, which can be screwed to the concrete parts.

  • Concrete flower pots: These elements can be combined with other parts of the system to create aesthetic and functional barriers.

  • Concrete cones: They are used to close parking lot passages.

  • Concrete parts: Inverted Y profile parts provide durability and easy handling.

  • Fasteners: Fastening elements made of galvanized sheet metal for a solid connection of individual parts.

  • New TMB elements: Reduced element and 45° arc element, which expand the application possibilities of the system.

Implementation and assembly:

When deploying CITY BLOC concrete elements, it is necessary to comply with all relevant regulations regarding the construction of roads and traffic on them. End pieces must be placed at the beginning and at the end of each guardrail from the CITY BLOC pieces.

In most cases, the underlying surface is the road surface, sidewalk or paved area of ​​parking lots. It can also have an unreinforced or mechanically stabilized upper bearing layer. Individual parts are usually installed from the truck directly to the destination using a crane arm or forklift. Anchor eyes with Rd16 threads are screwed into the anchors built into each part, which allows easy manipulation of the element.

After being placed at the destination, the individual elements are connected using connectors and Rd16 screws, which are included in the delivery. The installation of the railing is carried out by connecting the individual parts of CITY BLOC

The system also enables the installation of traffic signs and construction site fencing.

IZD road panels are flat reinforced concrete elements of rectangular format designed to create temporary or permanent paved surfaces. They are used for temporary purpose-built communications, parking and storage areas, but also for permanent class III communications. a IV. order. Their main advantage is easy and quick assembly and, if necessary, disassembly.

Materials and construction:

  • Concrete classes: C 25/30 or C 30/37, depending on load and environmental requirements.

  • Degree of environmental influence: XF3 (pro C 25/30) a XF4 (pro C 30/37), which ensure resistance to frost and aggressive environmental influences.

  • Steel reinforcement: Grade steel used 10 505 (R) or CURRY (W) ensures high strength and durability of the panels.

  • Dimensions and types: IZD road panels are available in various thicknesses and sizes. They have thicknesses 15 cm or 21,5 cm and are produced for different loads. They make it possible to create roads with different traffic loads - for vehicles weighing up to 6 again (wheel load 21 kN) or until 20 again (wheel load 50 kN).

  • By mutual agreement, special road panels can also be produced according to the customer's specifications
    (shape and dimensions, class of concrete, reinforcement etc.)

Use of IZD road panels:

  • Temporary purposeful communications: Ideal for creating quick-to-deploy temporary paths for construction projects or other purposes.

  • Parking and storage areas: The panels can easily be used to create solid areas for parking and material storage.

  • Communication III. a IV. classes: Permanent roads with lower loads, suitable for municipalities and smaller thoroughfares.

Assembly and storage:

IZD panels are equipped with practical hanging hooks, which allow easy handling by crane or forklift. The panels are transported and stored in a horizontal position on the flat surface of the vehicle, which ensures their safety and stability during transport and storage. When laying the panels, care must be taken to ensure an even and compacted substrate without unevenness.
Manipulation is always carried out by a crane using at least four suspension eyes. They are stored on a level, reinforced surface up to a height of max. 1,5 m.

Use and specific recommendations:

It is necessary to achieve maximum service life and functionality, that the road panels are placed next to each other according to the handling procedure on a flat and compacted gravel substrate (minimum gap between individual elements 10 mm). Before preparing the gravel base, it is necessary to cover the topsoil. The minimum bearing capacity of the soil under the gravel base should be Rdt = 150 kPa. The recommended fractions and thicknesses of the gravel subgrade layers are shown in the figure.
